Elijah's mantis friend. His skin was amazing- it soaked up the ink like a sponge and never even became irritated or red. It's healing like a dream, too.

He told me to do whatever I wanted. Twice.

Here's the view of his arm as it twists, which leads into this little healed guy pictured below!

Katie's hen

Tuesday, April 14, 2015
Here's the sketch of Katie's sweet little hen and some flowers from a farm she worked at over the summer that was near and dear to her. The left sketch is the color layer on top, the right is the linework. Such a fun thing to design!

The final product! She decided against the blue circle for now. I think this allows for a nice composition and a farm-ier feel, however does make the sunflower a little awkward. Hopefully she'll allow me to remedy this when she comes back for touch-ups in a few weeks.
I'm hella proud of that little hen though! She's a beaut!

Early April

Re-saturated this little old guy from a few years back!

Soon-to-be wrist cuff with the root chakra and a lotus. Lovely little lotus cut-out in the inside wrist.

Sketching up something big and fun! Gonna use loose graphite for it. New toys are the best.

Forgotten post!

Friday, March 7, 2014

Did this a few months ago and forgot to post it! Lavender, orange leaf, cornflower, and marigold. Done on the forearm of a bestie of mine!

For the boss

Wednesday, March 5, 2014

A design made for my mentor, for his father. Will be full color, with solids of sky blue, crystal blue, and shades of sage. Unfortunately things came up and I was unable to tattoo him before I left, but hopefully we can tat him up upon my return to the states next year!

Phoenix henna

Did this cover-up on a sweet lady. The tattoo before was three little stacked black 7's in this little guy's neck. My first step into henna work! Hard to tell, but there is a ton of color in this. Hopefully I can get a healed picture one day.

Traditional/neo

My first steps into the traditional and neo-traditional world. Can't wait to finish the mongoose/snake piece when I get back to the USA. The second piece was rad--I really got to carve that shit in.

Fixers and cover-ups

The top piece, I remember when she got it. We were in our freshman year of college and I was mortified. Nearly five years later she comes to me to fix it up for her! Thanks Ash!

The second piece is an old Mucha done by another artist. I just added color!

Mermaid

Friday, December 13, 2013
Did a little mermaid on my good friend Marianna's ribcage! She has an anchor on the other side, each to represent her love of the sea (marine biology major!), one side grounding her, and the other side is whimsy.

Hustin's Pisces

Saturday, November 30, 2013

Still in progress, a Pisces chest piece cover-up of the words "Love is my weapon." Only about half-way done!

Falcon and Rat

Additions to Colin! (He has the jackalope chest piece). He asked me to do whatever I wanted, and this Falcon is what I came up with!

Mermaid

Horrible photo. A still unfinished piece on Mari, she is definitely a woman of the water! Can't wait to finish this piece.

Poppies and PMA

Still unfinished piece. But a great story behind the banner and words-
The "PMA" (Positive Mental Attitude. Something very fitting to its owner!) is something I drew on my friend Ariel's arm for our friend Griffin to tattoo on her in her living room a few years ago. Then as my very very very first tattoo, even before that antler I posted earlier, I did that little banner and touched up the wobbly "PMA." Then, to our shock and grief, Griffin passed away this summer. Ariel had been talking about getting poppy tattoos before, but now they had a different meaning. Poppies are the flower of death, and now remembrance. I can't wait to finish this lovely transformative and important tattoo.

Indian Corn

One of my favorites. A tribute to her father, Indiana, her love for corn and all things fall, and the movie "Children of the Corn."
